Description

4th of July strawberries are a super easy red, white, and blue treat that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 strawberries
  • 1 cup white candy melts or white chocolate melting wafers
  • ½ cup red, white, and blue nonpareil sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Wash strawberries and pat dry with a paper towel to make sure no liquid remains.
  2. Melt candy in a small deep bowl in the microwave for 30 second increments, stirring between each time, until fully melted.
  3. Dip strawberries into the chocolate until they’re about 2/3 of the way covered. Immediately dip into the sprinkles until they’re 1/3 covered in sprinkles.
  4. Place the strawberries on a baking sheet lined with either wax or parchment paper. If you’re using the white chocolate, refrigerate to let the chocolate harden completely. If using candy melts, just let sit for 30 minutes to harden. Note – if you live in a humid place or your kitchen is humid, it’s best to let them chill in the fridge.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy the same day made!

Notes

Eat these the day they are made for the best flavor and texture. You can make them a couple of hours ahead of time, but they’re going to be best enjoyed the day you make them. If you do want to make them the day before, just know that the strawberries inside may be softer than you were expecting. Make sure that your strawberries are completely dry before dipping in the chocolate. You may even want to wash your strawberries and let them sit for a while before dipping. Any moisture will impact the chocolate sticking properly.
